In 2026, Skills+ 3.0 will organize two inspiring national competitions in Romania, where participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their practical abilities, gain confidence, and show that everyone has valuable skills to offer.

These competitions aim to create an inclusive and supportive environment where persons with disabilities can explore different professional fields, work in teams, and experience real working conditions with the guidance of professionals.

Programs and Locations

📍 Housekeeping Competition
Date: 19 February 2026
Location: Hotel My Continental, Suceava

During this competition, participants will demonstrate their housekeeping skills in a professional hotel environment. Working in teams and supported by buddies and professionals, they will complete practical tasks related to room preparation, organisation, and hygiene standards.

📍 Catering Competition
Date: 29 April 2026
Location: Casa Emanuel, Siret, Suceava

The catering competition will bring participants together to plan and arrange a dining table, work collaboratively, and develop their practical hospitality skills. Guided by mentors and evaluated by professionals, participants will demonstrate attention to detail, organisation, and teamwork while creating a welcoming and professional dining setup.

What will you be doing during the competitions?

Participants will take part in practical activities designed to reflect real working environments. They will work together, follow instructions, and complete tasks while receiving support from buddies, organisers, and professional jury members.

Housekeeping Skills+ National Competition – Suceava, Romania

Skills in Action in a Real Hospitality Environment
As part of the Skills+ 3.0 project, the national Housekeeping Competition in Romania brought participants together to demonstrate their practical abilities in a real professional setting. The event aimed to highlight the talents and potential of persons with disabilities while creating a supportive environment for learning and collaboration.
The competition took place in Suceava and was hosted at Hotel My Continental. The hotel provided a professional hospitality environment that allowed participants to experience real working conditions and better understand the standards of the housekeeping profession.
Participants worked in teams and completed practical housekeeping tasks similar to those performed in hotels. These tasks required attention to detail, organisation, cooperation, and responsibility. The activities were designed to simulate real workplace situations and give participants the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a meaningful way.
Throughout the competition, participants were supported by buddies, organisers, and professionals from the hospitality sector. The jury included an experienced head housekeeper who evaluated the tasks and offered guidance and feedback to participants.
The competition helped participants build confidence, develop practical skills, and experience teamwork in a professional environment. For many of them, it was an important opportunity to showcase their abilities and gain valuable experience connected to real employment contexts.
Beyond the competition itself, the event created a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Participants, organisers, partners, and professionals shared the experience together, celebrating effort, dedication, and achievements.

Catering Skills+ National Competition – Suceava, Romania

As part of the Skills+ 3.0 project, the national Catering Competition in Romania brought participants together to demonstrate their practical abilities in a structured and supportive environment. The event aimed to highlight the talents and potential of persons with disabilities while creating opportunities for learning, collaboration, and skill development.

The competition took place on 29 April in Siret, hosted at Casa Emanuel, within the Chronic Psychiatry Hospital Siret. The location provided a safe and familiar environment for participants, allowing them to focus on the tasks while experiencing a setting adapted to their needs.

Participants worked in teams and completed practical catering tasks, focusing on planning and arranging a dining table for a two-course meal. These tasks required attention to detail, organisation, cooperation, and creativity. The activities were designed to simulate real hospitality situations and give participants the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a meaningful way.

Throughout the competition, participants were supported by buddies, organisers, and professionals. The jury evaluated both the final result and the teamwork, offering guidance and feedback to participants during the process.
